Copernicus at the heart of the Space Week Join the European Space Week 2017 - THE event for European Space
SAVE THE DATE for Tallinn, Estonia from 3 to 9 November 2017
The Space Week will foster interactions between the space and digital community and will provide visibility to the rapidly changing space sector, its applications and the European Union’s Space Programmes Copernicus and Galileo. The central aim is to bring together the most important space stakeholders, companies, partners and visionaries in Europe pushing the topic of space in Europe and beyond.
Brussels, 11 August 2017. The Presidency of the Council of the European Union is held by Estonia for the first time, hosting meetings, working groups and events across Estonia.
Tallinn, Estonia’s capital, will be turned into the capital of Space for an entire week this November, the “European Space Week” 2017.
Fostering a digital Europe and ensuring the movement of free data has been identified by the Estonia’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union as one of the four priorities for securing the future economic success of Europe. This is in line with the EU Space Strategy and Europe’s goal of empowering global entrepreneurs to tackle global challenges on Earth to the benefit of European citizens.
