GEO-CRADLE performs a thorough gap analysis that utilises the outputs of the user need analysis, the information collected in the inventories of existing EO capacities (space-borne, in-situ, modelling), and extends/deepens the work performed by previous relevant projects in order to:
- Determine and document the gaps between the optimised utilisation/exploitation of the existing EO capacities in the RoI against the needs of the relevant users.
- Enable the identification and sharing of best practices and lessons learned between different countries, based on a benchmarking analysis.
- Drive the development of an action plan against the priorities addressing regional challenges, and the refinement of the scope of the pilot activities considering regional GEO, GEOSS, and Copernicus perspectives.
